We were an integral part of a development team within the online banking domain. Specifically, we were involved in building applications for direct debit and credit transfer payments services. These applications were designed to facilitate seamless and secure transactions for customers, allowing them to manage their finances efficiently. To accomplish this, the team utilized Scala, a powerful programming language known for its functional and object-oriented capabilities, and Cats Effects, a library that provides functional programming abstractions for building concurrent and asynchronous applications in Scala.
The team developed new features for card transaction processing services. This involved enhancing existing systems and building entirely new components to handle card transactions, ensuring secure and reliable processing. By developing new features, the team contributed to improving the overall card transaction processing capabilities for the customer.
Moreover, we were an active member of the development team. We actively participated in the software development lifecycle, collaborating with other team members to design, implement, test, and deploy the applications and features. As an active member, we contributed to code reviews, participated in discussions, provided insights and suggestions, and worked closely with other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
The team built the applications and features on top of AWS (Amazon Web Services). By leveraging AWS, the team could take advantage of its scalability, reliability, and security features, ensuring that the online banking applications and services were robust and capable of handling the demands of the customer’s system.
In summary, within the online banking domain, we played a crucial role in building applications for direct debit and credit transfer payments services using Scala and Cats Effects. We also developed new features for card transaction processing services, contributing to the overall functionality and efficiency of the customer’s application.
